Jasa Harris

Hi, my name is Jasa and my academic goals for this year are to get all A's and get a good score on the ACT. The most meaningful thing I did this summer was helping this kid named Jaylin with his Spanish. I worked at this summer camp-type program, and the kids took math, reading, science, art and Spanish classes and I was in charge of helping out with the Spanish classes and Jaylin was falling behind all the other kids, so I would always spend extra time with him to catch him up and by the end of the program he was all caught up and could speak Spanish and use it pretty well. He was really grateful and would tell his dad everyday how I helped him and stuff, so it was nice. Outside of school I don't do too much, I love spending time with my sisters, we go shopping a ton or we go to the movies, but both of my older sisters will be off to college this week so I guess I’ll just do stuff with my little sister. Other than that I take taekwondo and I absolutely hate it, mostly because I’m just terrible at it and all the instructors are rude. I’ve been taking it for 6 years now and I’m still not a black belt and apparently it only takes 2 to 2 ½ years to get your black belt. I’m only one belt away now but I don’t know if I’ll ever get it.

I don’t really know what geeks me out, I like to do well in school so I try really hard on my homework and projects and quizzes. Maybe what geeks me out are the things  I’m obsessed with like Honey Boo Boo, the Kardashians, Big Brother, Tyler Perry movies, Tia and Tamera, David Tutera, Prison Break and Syfy game shows (Total Blackout, Exit). I get on yahoo a lot and if any article has even a little bit about any of these I’ll read it.
