Assignment 6- Haley Longworth

1. Too much homework!
2. People don't care about their health.
3. It's freezing cold outside!

It's the time of the year when everyone gets to freeze their butt off. Don't get me wrong, I love the way winter looks when the snow falls and blankets the ground, and the sight of Christmas lights around town. What I don't like as much is the freezing cold temperature and biting wind that accompanies the season. Some people might think they have it bad, having to run to their car, but it's the worst when I have to walk to the bus stop. Every morning I wake up and get ready to go to school, but always dread having to walk outside. As soon as I open the front door, the wind blows in, but there's no turning back. Usually I wear about three layers, but no matter what I do I can never stay warm enough. I walk a fourth of a mile just to stand and wait for the unpredictable timing of the bus. When I'm early, the bus is late. When I'm late, the bus is early. There is no telling when it will come. I get to stand on the corner of the street, wind blowing on my face, in the freezing (literally!!) cold that creeps through the openings of my multiple jackets. That is why I can't stand being cold.
