Prompt 1: Social Media

I currently have accounts on Twitter and Facebook, as well as YouTube, Gmail, and Blogger (if you count those as social media as well). I use my Twitter continuously throughout the day. I'm always reading other people's tweets and retweeting posts that I find funny, interesting, etc. I hardly ever tweet anything of my own. The other thing I do is reply to people's tweets if I have something to say. I almost never use my Facebook anymore because it has turned into a world of adults, middle schoolers, and annoying advertisements. Any time I log on, I have about 32 notifications about how I've been added to a bunch of groups that I don't care about just because I'm friends with different people who are in those groups. Twitter is the website that I find more user-friendly as well as interesting. It also helps that all of my friends use Twitter more often than Facebook. Even though we're not supposed to use it, Twitter isn't blocked on the school wifi, so it's always funny to see people's frustrated tweets about school as I use the school technology.I would say that social media plays a huge role in my life because it's what I use to keep up with people and what's going on in the world. I use it so often throughout the day that I find myself distracted when I'm supposed to be doing homework.  I even have a Twitter page that I keep switching to as I do this assignment.
