Changes- Alexander Reese

I think the two party system is the best political structure the United States of America could have possibly chosen. By using a winner takes all system, we really represent all the people we could want, because there is no such thing as majority tyranny. If the majority wants it, how could it possibly not be a good thing? Relegating third parties to more of a role of being a disruption to political elections (such as the 2000 election) keeps the majority from being subjected to the horrors of unfair elections. Germany's system with more than two parties will get them into trouble someday when they find themselves horribly inefficient and probably will have to shut down the government for a couple of weeks because they can't agree on a federal budget! Only having two parties with any real chance of getting positions also makes voting so much simpler. Imagine how much you would have to pay attention and research in order to find out about three or (God forbid) FOUR parties debating one issue.
